Friday's Feast : Food for Thought

Breakfast: If you were given one extra hour everyday - how would you use that time? I would play in my garden, or ride my bike.

Lunch: What is your favorite season and why? Summer, I love boating and camping, and we seem to do much more of it in the summer.

Dinner: Are you a tight squeezer, a delicate hugger, a back patter, a hand shaker, or a hands off completely person? It depends, I do hate shaking people's hand, my germ fear phobia. I am a delicate hugger. I give hugs to family and friends and at times if a co-worker is going throu a hard time.

Midnight Snack:Have you ever gone skinny dipping? Yes, I love skinny dipping. I try to do it when ever we go out on the river. Of course I do it alone,lol. My boyfriend is to modest to do it, after 30 years he still wont. When I am in the water I remove my suit and try to throw it on the boat so it hits him, and he gets joy at throwing it back at me when I need to get dressed in a hurry if other people are coming.

Recipe for this Week (instead of your recipe for life - what is it for just this week?) Looking forward to the upcoming week, I am only working 58 hours so I will have 3 days of daylight off ( I have to be to work at 5pm), so I will have a lot of time for fun things. Going to try to do them all with out having to argue with J.

Food 4 Thought Friday Breakfast

What is your first thought when you wake up? It can't be morning already....I wanna sleep more!

. Lunch If you could go out to lunch with any three people (real of fictitious/ from any time period, dead or alive) , which three people would you choose and why? That's a hard one, I am close with my family and my friends.....with no hard feeling I would say all is welcomed to come, But to keep it small....My Mother and my sisters Midgie and AnnA.

Dinner What is your favorite restaurant and what do you like the most on the menu? I have favorite restaurants where ever I go. Locally we go by boat to Yanni's 111, in Athens and the Calamari, and entree. When near Salisbury, MA it is Strippers, Prime Rib! At the casino Mohican's sun it is Micheal Jordon's bread! At Fox woods it's Planet Hollywood the entree and veggies.

Midnight Snack: What do you usually think about right before you fall asleep? The day.

Appetizer: When was the last time you had your hair cut/trimmed?Pprofessionally, about 6 months ago. Yesterday I did cut my bangs.
Soup: Name one thing you miss about being a child. Playing, carefree.
Salad: Pick one: butter, margarine, olive oil. Olive oil
Main Course: If you could learn another language, which one would you pick, and why? Spanish, majority of the people around here, are Spanish speaking.
Dessert: Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be…Sleeping late, as the chef prepares my breakfast,,,,,,and being awoke with kisses.

Appetizer: Do you consider yourself to be an optimist or a pessimist? I think optimist, I see the glass half full.
Soup: What is your favorite color of ink to write with? Guess it depends what I am writing, cards= blue; work: black
Salad: How often do you get a manicure or pedicure? Do you do them yourself or go to a salon and pay for them? I wish it didn't take so long to do at a salon, I pefer that. But with lack of time I often do it my self. Next week I am going to the salon.
Main Course: Have you ever won anything online? If so, what was it? I won awards from Jenn's site. I accidently deleating the wrong Jenn's site and need to find it again, I loved reading her blog.
Dessert: In which room in your house do you keep your home computer? In the office.

Appetizer : When you drink soda/pop/coke, do you prefer to drink it from the bottle, a can, or after pouring it into a cup? Out of the bottle, it is usually on the go that I drink pop.
Soup: What television show are you willing to stay up late to watch? Lost, and Moonlight. Last night I watch another Vamp movie on TV...Very good.
Salad: Name one person, place, or thing you think of as brilliant. Shriners Hospital !!!
Main Course: Would you be willing to work 4 10-hour days instead of 5 8-hour days in order to save gas? That would be a vacation, compared to the hours I worked this week. And for most people that would only be saving a gallon or 2.
Dessert: If you were a superhero, what would you call yourself? MMM, Helena the Wonder, or Skyblue to The Rescue!

Appetizer: What is the nearest big city to your home? I think Albany is bigger than Kingston. I am close to both, so Albany wins! But I prefer to shop in Kingston, all the stores are relatively close by.
Soup: On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets? A 10, unless it would hurt some one close to me.
Salad: Describe your hair (color, texture, length). My hair has always been thin, but it seems to be getting thicker as I get older, unless thats my head,lol. I am close to blonde, that gets lighter as the sun hits it, I tend to dye it darker thou. It is just below my shoulder and naturally wavey.
Main Course: What kind of driver are you? Courteous? Aggressive? Slow? Depends what I am doing, but I am alway careful, never slow.
Dessert: When was the last time you had a really bad week? I never have a totally bad week, I may have a day that thats bad or moments.

My Friday's Feast

Appetizer: What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child? I recall answering this question not to long ago, and Casper came too mind. But I used to watch Puffin Stuff and loved the witch on it.
Soup: Pretend you are about to get a new pet. Which animal would you pick, and what would you name it? I thought when my Shepard dies, ( Which I love Shepard's) I would get a Terrier, they are so cute. But as I searched for a picture I found Tea cup Australian Shepard's, so now I need to flip a coin.

Salad: On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy getting all dressed up for a special occasion? I love getting dressed up, gives you the feeling of " I am so pretty", I'll get dressed up to go to the grocery store.
Main Course: What kind of music do you listen to while you drive? It all depends on my mood, yesterday it was Classical. Today it might be Rapp or Country. I also love Folk Music.
Dessert: When was the last time you bought a clock? And in which room did you put it? Last year I bought a Large clock and put it in my patients room in the Nursing home. For my self I can't recall buying a clock in 20 years.

Salad: On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy being alone? Most of the time I enjoy my "Alone" time, I would say a 9.
Main Course: Fill in the blank: I will _________ vote for ___________ in _______. Hillary in 2008.
Dessert: Describe your sleeping habits. When I am home, I usually go to bed by 10' ish. Put the TV timer on 20 minutes with the volume just above a whisper, and fall asleep with in 10 minutes.

Appetizer: Invent a new flower; give it a name and describe it. The Love Sonet, It is a huge yellow flower, It's center is a red heart shape, and the outer peddles are like Queen Ann's lace. It is a Sonet because of the music you hear from all the hummingbirds, butterflies and bee's that are a attracted to it. It has a wonderful fragrent, a mixture of citrus and lavender.
Soup: Name someone whom you think has a wonderful voice. I used to think this guy I know Garry, had a great sexy phone voice, but now I realize after years of singing...It is ME...LOL I have a wonderfull voice :>).

Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how clean do you keep your car? OMG if {J} could answer this he would tell you, 2. He is in charge of cleaning it after me. When I use the mail truck, he drives my blue blazer....he cleans it before he uses it. The brown truck is basically his....and when I drive that I know better than to leave anything in it.
Main Course: How do you feel about poetry? I like poetry, And some of my own poetry can be found at poetry.com, I posted it there years ago.
Dessert: What was the last person/place/thing you took a picture of? My Goddaughter, and nephews. I took them on a hike at Bashbish falls. There arms are stretched, half of there body is in New York, and the other half are in Massachusetts,

Appetizer: What does the color dark green make you think of? First thing it reminds me of is money, then grass. It is my favorite color.
Soup: How many cousins do you have? I have tons of cousins, my father had 11 0r 12 siblings in his family, my mother had 4 siblings, and being Catholic they all went forth and multiplied.

Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how honest are you?I am a 9, I would only not tell the truth if I need it would hurt your feelings. { I am not totally honest with {J} on my feelings}. And if a good friend just bought a new shirt, or whatever and loved it, if they asked me and it wasn't what I would ever wear....I would tell them it was nice. I don't lie to do harm.
Main Course: Name something that is truly free. That's a hard question, or I just am to deep of a person. I would think a bird...but then not all are, no animal,creature or object is. Nor air...some people have to pay for it to breath, so the only thing you can't cage,or sell....is the ocean...it just goes on and continues to flow.
Dessert: Using the letters in the word SPRING, write a sentence. Inspiring, spring peepers never get rest, { They are not in order}

Appetizer: Given the choice, would you prefer to live in the country or in the city? Neither,lol. I would prefer the suburbs. A little bit of both worlds. Close to the city, and all the stores and excitement. But with the quietness and scenery of the country.

Soup: Who is the cutest kid you know? I cannot just name one, all kids are cute. And having numerous young relatives, and friend's children it really is hard to pick one. Yesterday as I was delivering mail I met 3 young brothers by the box, they were all so cute and polite it was hard to pick , I bet those parents are so proud to have 3 great kids like that.

Salad: Fill in the blank: I couldn't’t believe it when I heard ___________. Or read, my comment I received from my TT list. It was taken offensive, but wasn't ment to be. For that I apologize using bad taste to post.
Main Course: If you could star in a commercial for one of your favorite products, which one would you want to advertise? Arnica cream, or lotion. It works great on aches and pains.
Dessert: What type(s) of vitamins and/or supplements do you take on a regular basis? This questions reminds me of what I should start taking again, Garlic tablets, Fish Oil and Centrum multi vitamin, and a calcium . Also green tea oils.

Appetizer: If you could be any current celebrity for one whole week, who would you want to be?When I think of celebrities actors,and actress come to mind. And I really don't want to walk in there shoes for a week and be hounded by the Pavarotti. I would want to be a Princess of a country, and have a King fall in love with me before the week ended and I could remain there, and be his Queen.
Soup: On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how much do you enjoy talking on the phone? When I was younger I enjoyed it, now I despise talking on the phone and wasting my time,,,,I would say a 1. ( I could swear I think this question was here before)
Salad: Name a charitable organization to which you have donated (or would like to). There has been a few in the past= Hospice, American Cancer Society , and The Heart association. I have even volunteered time to these groups which is very important. I would like to volunteer time to a food pantry and a homeless shelter,
Main Course: What is a food you like so much you could eat it every single day for a month? Ice cream, but I know my waist would expand, so I will say zucchini, yellow or green.
Dessert: Have you or anyone in your family had the flu this year?Yes, I had a mild version of it, and My Mom'A, also a few close friends.

Appetizer:
Have you ever played a practical joke on anyone? If so, what did you do and who was your victim? Just the usuall hiding and jumping out and scaring the beegees out of the person. Usual it was my sister.
Soup :
What do your salt and pepper shakers look like? Small glass with silver tops, the sit next to the box of sea salt and pepper grinder.

Salad:
Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)?
Rhode Island, for a overnight fun trip.

Main Course :
What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry? My hands take a toll doing the mail in this cold weather, I get cracks in them that I swear have been frost bit. I put Avon silocone glove on them and at night when I go to sleep A/D ointment.

Dessert :
Make up a dessert, tell us its ingredients, and give it a name. A container of coolwhip, and I would call it Passion. { Of couse the desert comes before the main meal and we are not all bloated from eating, LOL

Appetizer: What is your favorite kind of cereal?

I love Special K with frozen blueberries in it, and my soy milk. I even put some flax seed in it. It's great and healthy try it!

Soup: When was the last time you purchased something for your home, what was it, and in which room did it go?

A bedspread, and new pillows. Yup, in my room.

Salad: What is the funniest commercial you’ve ever seen?

I love funny comercials. Can't recal my favorite right now, but I do like the Geico comercial, with that little lizard. The one where he asks if that is clam's they are eating, and he asks if they want to share...." I didn't think so"

Main Course: Make up a name for a company by using a spice and an animal (example: Cinnamon Monkey).

The Sage Dragon. It is a company where I sell crystals, charms, Sage,and Mystical items. {Pretend-Company that is,lol}

Feast One Hundred & Seventy Seven

Appetizer: How many times per day do you usually laugh?
I laugh a lot. Humor is part of my personality. I usually make who ever is near me laugh to. Sometimes at me, sometimes with me :>).

Soup: What do your sunglasses look like?
I rarely wear sunglasses, but when I do I have 2 pairs, A gold frame one with brownish lenses. And a half pair for driving and reading the mail. I also have a very old pair from the early 50's that are so freakin cool.

Salad: You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?
I would go out west in the summer, to the foot hills of the Dakota, and then to old mining towns, and ghost towns out west. I love riding and traveling by train. You see so much more and meet so many different people.

Main Course: Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.
There are many things, The people, resteraunts, and the fact that it is a small town, rural in so many ways.

Dessert: If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
The sky is so many colors already, if it was just ====, I would change it ever so slightly to ======.

Salad: On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?

I am a 9, I believe you should own up to what you do, and good Karma. It at times ticks { J } off, if I was to get extra money at a store by mistake, I tell the clerk that they over payed me. And yes I have turned pocket books and wallets in that I have found, even thou I have lost mine numerous times with out ever being turned in.

Main Course: If you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why?

Can't think of any names with out doing a search, but any city with reference to Hell or the Devil. To me they sound ugly and uninviting.

Dessert: What stresses you out? What calms you down?

1}Tons of mail and accountables and leaving late for my delivery and having to get back to the office by 5pm, Classical Music, it helps calm me down, stay focused and complete the task. 2} A soothing bubble bath, or a soak in a Jacuzzi. Can only do this when I am away from home....No Tub or Jacuzzi here, UGH

Friday's Feast # 175

Appetizer: What is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called?

Elizabeth, and {Confirmation Name} is Theresa.

Soup: If you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most?

The fabric would be cotton, And the colors would be Earth Tones { Brown,Green ex.} The style would be in the early 1920's. Tailored and they would be comphy if you could imagine that.

Salad: What is your least favorite chore, and why?

Laundry, I have to go down to the basement that is very old...Dirt floor. My house was built in the late 1800, or early 1900. There is no floor, it is all earth. It has a few rooms down there. One spot still has the coal in it that was delivered in the early 1900. Cob webs and spiders. Plus about 20 years ago when I was down there for a prank....{J} turned off the lights and locked me in there. It was for only a few minutes but seemed like hours to me.

Main Course: What is something that really frightens you, and can you trace it back to an event in your life?

Heavy traffic, and over passes. Nothing in this life to contribute to why, I think maybe in a previous life thou.

Dessert: Where are you sitting right now? Name 3 things you can see at this moment.

I am in my office...looking at the day bed that looks very inviting, and I wish I could take a nap for a few hours. { Besides the computer and the screen} I see pictures of my loved ones, and a very pretty Fairy Trinket box I just bought on Wednesday.

Appetizer: When was the last time you received a surprise in the mail, and what was it?

Soup: If you could have a summer and/or winter home, where would you want it to be?

My summer home would be right where I am. And my Winter home would be in the Carolina's. Right on the beach. But I would come to my Summer home a few times in the winter and visa-versa.

Salad: Pick one: pineapple, orange, banana, apple, cherry.

I love all fruit, but on this list Cherries are my favorite.

Main Course: Describe the nicest piece of clothing that you own.

I have a lot of nice clothing so it's hard to choice, Right now I have my favorite PJ's on I got for Christmas......They are so fuzzy and warm,but I hate the color Purple. My favorite dress up out fit, my black dress with gold heals and my gold shawl.

Dessert: If you could forget one whole day from your life, which day would you choose to wipe from your memory?

Oh God I have many....But the one time my sister and I skipped church and went down the bank to find Arrow heads....It was spring and all of the sudden it seemed snakes started to hatch, there was thousands of them { Something out of a horro movie} we climbed on this log that was leaning up a tree and climbed as far as we could. Screaming for help. My older brother and sister had to rescue us. They too remeber all the snakes. Ugh.

Appetizer: Name 2 things you would like to accomplish in 2008.

1} Loose some weight. 2} Win the lottery, enough $ to open up my home to 4 or 5 elderly, or dying person that wants to remain in a quality care family type setting till they die.

Soup: With which cartoon character do you share personality traits?

Gosh there are so many cartoon characters out there but I only watch a few for laughs, I am going to say Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Salad: What time of day (or night) were you born?

I believe it was *8 oclock at night. That is the time on my birth certificate. But my Mom say's No......She never went out at night. Try explaining that to her and she says all her children 8 of us were born during the day, Well it was light in the delivery room, lol.

Main Course: Tell us something special about your hometown.

It is very rural and quaint. Lots to do, and places to eat at that are Great! And not far to go to shop :>)

Dessert: If you could receive a letter from anyone in the world, who would you want to get one from?

From Warren Buffet.....telling me not to wait on the lottery, he will give me the $ to open a home. And I must save room for him there when the time comes.
