Something to think about

I made it through my two days of rough going. Doing the mail on route 1 is so over burden, you leave with at least between 4-8 more tubs than the other 2 routes. You have to expect to wait along a very busy highway delivering , as tons of cars and trucks zoom past you. And always prepare to get hit from behind, it's just a matter of time. When you get back, the other 2 routes have either left or are on their way out the door to go home- You get to stay for another hour or so putting up your flats....it really sucks. Last Saturday was the beginning of the new schedule where you have to be back by 4pm. One clerk was on doing all the work, and the boss comes strolling in at 9am- When we have all been there since 7:30. She definitely is just a Me person. Also at one of my stops is a school. I had to pick up a few hundred pieces of mail, that wasn't in a tub. Later on during the day when I brought it back and was mentioning it to the clerks, they said I hope you wore gloves....and in the evening paper I read about a confirmed case of MRSA, the staph infection that is contagious and has killed tons of people in hospitals and nursing homes. And the Federal Center For disease control says it can infect people in a community at large. Well isn't that special, how many pieces of mail did I pick up from any homes that were infected. Humm did I wash my hands in perhaps puddles along the route, I don't carry soap and water and the only time I can stop and wash id half way threw the route. It's pretty scary crap. On another topic....I went out to eat with a good friend of mine yesterday. I have known her for a long time, I wanna say 15 years. Well about 10 years ago she split up with her long time boyfriend of 20 years, who also is the father to her 3 kids. He cheated on her for a younger girl. Anyhow she has been seeing this guy on and off for awhile. He introduced her to drinking, which she never was a big fan of. Now she drinks alot. And yesterday she told me she is into other "vices", I told her all the horror stories on that I knew, but I am sure it won't stop her. This guy is such a women chaser, but she claims he is great in the sack. I wouldn't give him the time of day. I used to just despise him for his ways of being a male slut, then for all the pain he put her through cheating, well now I have a new reason to hate him even more. Shall try to be there for her, and really need to think on this one.......For now.......Happy Trails!!!!!
Time for a good joke, and check out this link it is great.

DEAF WIFE "priceless

>A man feared his wife wasn't hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid. Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family Doctor to discuss the problem.>>>>> The Doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the Doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.
Here's what you do," said the Doctor, "stand about 40 feet away from her, and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you. If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response." That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was in the den. He says to himself, "I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens.
Then in a normal tone he asks,
'Honey, what's for dinner?">>>>>>>>>> No response.>>>>>So the husband moves closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats,

"Honey, what's for dinner?">>>>>>>> Still no response.>>>>>>>>>>
Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his wife and asks,

"Honey, what's for dinner?">>>>>>>>>> Again he gets no response.>>>>> So, he walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away.

"Honey, what's for dinner?" Again there is no response.>>>>>> So he walks right up behind her. "Honey, what's for >>>>> dinner?">>>>>>>>>> (I just love this)>>>>>>>>>>>>"Ralph , for the FIFTH F ****** time, CHICKEN!"

That joke is too funny!

You might try carrying a small bottle of hand snitizer with you for those stops that make you nervous. It's better than nothing. And with this MRSA thing, you can't be too careful, especially at the schools. They confirmed two cases in elementary schools a few counties away from me. Scary stuff.
