This shot I took the other day up at my sister's house. Milly and her husband have always managed to live on the biggest hill they could find. I remember when they had a log cabin built way up on a hill. My dad was alive then and helped with it. They had gorgeous views all around. I didn't think they could get any better views. Then they sold that and built another huge house upon yet another hill. That house had 3 stories and was way to big. So they sold it and built a really nice one floor house on the hugest hill I have ever seen. The drive up in the summer is OK but I fear it coming down in the winter. I usually have it in 4 wheel drive and set down in the first gear coming down the hill praying all the way I make it. They are use to it and love it. I love the views she has. On a clear day you can see the next state away,,,,very cool. They really are great people. I am glad they are part of my family. This weekend we were going to go up north on Sunday and spend time with my little sister Margaret and her family. Her son Mikey is hoping {J} will take him Salmon fishing. I had to have my blood checked and made a appointment for BDS (Bone Density Test) on Monday completely forgetting about going away,,,ugh,,Then I thought we will go after the test,,,but again I forgot I have to work on Tuesday. So this am I will try to change the appointment. Yesterday we had the meeting with my patient and her family. Her 3 son's were there. I thought it went well,,,but in the back of my head I thought if I was not here,,,would the oldest son insist upon keeping her in the nursing home part. I am beginning to think his wife wants him to. Along with the doom and gloom brother in law. But all in all it went good,,,they made me feel like part of the family. My patient is coming along good. Today I am going to go to Physical therapy and see how she is walking and doing. Then her nephew who is 85 and his son are taking me to lunch. The great nephew is the one who is schizo so should be interesting.....For now-----HAPPY TRAILS!!!!#############################################Dwight Nelson recently told a "true" story about the pastor of his church. He had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc. The kitty would not come down. The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and drove away so that the tree bent down, he could then reach up and get the kitten.
That's what he did, all the while checking his progress in the car. He then figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved the car a little further forward, the rope broke. The tree went "boing!" and the kitten instantly sailed through the air-out of sight.
The pastor felt terrible. He walked all over the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No, nobody had seen a stray kitten.
So he prayed, "Lord, I just commit this kitten to your keeping," and went on about his business.
A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart and was amazed to see cat food. This woman was a cat hater and everyone knew it, so he asked her, "Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?"
She replied, "You won't believe this," and then told him how her little girl had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing. Then a few days before, the child had begged again, so the Mom finally told her little girl "Well, if God gives you a cat, I'll let you keep it."
She told the pastor, "I watched my child go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask God for a cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws outspread, and landed right in front of her."
Never under estimate the Power of God.################A man goes to the nursing home to visit his 84 year-old father. While there he notices the nurse is giving his father hot chocolate and Viagra. The man asks, "Why are you doing that? I mean, at his age what will it do for him?" The nurse explains, "The hot chocolate will help him sleep." The man says, "And the Viagra?" "Keeps him from falling out of bed."##############
