just a day

I just love this old barn. I have taken numerous shots of it over the years,,,and it still stands. This shot is taken today...a much different day than yesterday here in the North East,,,still far from the usual. I just wore a turtle kneck and a sweater,,,no coat- gloves-scarf or mittens. Actually even debated about wearing socks today. Being my only day off,,and the Master of procrastination,,,I barely accomplished much. I awoke at 9;30 am,,,couldn't decide if I wanted to sleep all day or get up. But after having 11.5 hours of much needed rest decided I should. I tidied up around the homestead a bit,,then took a shower and headed to the gym. I really love going there on sundays,,seems mostly people with head sets on,,and I block them all out and take over control of the TV,,,and it's Lifetime,,,movies. I could stay there for hours working out and watching tv. When I am home I rarely watch it,,,so it's like a treat. I worked out for a hour,,then I shopped. One minute turned into the next and my idea of fasting for the day was quick to give away. I skipped supper the night before--{J} wanted take out from one place,,I wanted it from another so all said we just avoided the subject. So here I am at 3;55 decided to get something to eat before i headed to the "home",,,my choses were my own tonight,,do i go to Burgerking and get the .99 cent whopper junior,,,or The golden arch place for a fish filet,,,or a slice of pizza. Humm---decisions ,decisions---And I am running out of time,,,I phoned home,,,(he could give 2 fries where I decided).....I asked him if the new off limits place has a dollar menue,,,and what he thinks I might like there----he says just get a fish sandwich---OK,,,I go with his answer,,,pull in the drive throu...only one car ahead of me,,none behind me,,,I see the pizza place in the distance.....I back out of the drive throu....then just park and go inside,,,It was Long John Silver,,part of Taco Bell....I go in...place is empty...I order a fish sandwich. Cost $2.15,,,,Well worth all .30 cents of it. It was like on a hoagie bun,,,fried in a batter,,with shredded lettace.( Due as I may I tried to recall what I heard on the latest news about the place,,,think it was the lettace scare),,,I think the bun was frozen before because it seemed a little soggy,,,so I threw that out-refrained from eating any lettace. And I decided the fish in the battery and all tasted greesy and salty to me. First and last time there for me,,,I know {J} would like that kind of food,,,but not me. I really miss not making the $'s I am used to and eating at 5 star places,,,,This dining on a budget is really not what I am use to. I need to cook more....maybe this week or weekend I will make a meal---A nice gourmet entree,,with a appetizer of me----Happy Trails!....................................................................................
